Off to a great start!

For those who are new to lacrosse and for those who want to improve and build on their skills we have winter lacrosse training sessions weekly at NYMA.  All ages are welcome, we will be running age appropriate drills that increase fitness and agility and work on those lacrosse specific skills that will build you game.   In March, we will add an additional day at Newburgh Armory where we will be free to scrimmage.  We hope that this opportunity will find everyone ready for the field in April.

For those who are new to the sport, or for anyone who is still not too sure what is going on, check out these video clips on youtube that can help you out:

Use it or Lose it!

CBLC wants to help the kids not only maintain their skills, but also improve and build upon what they have already learned.  The Winter Training provides the opportunity not only to keep stick skills from becoming rusty, but also to improve the overall lacrosse IQ of every player.  In addition to demonstrating basic conditioning skills, our coaches are excited to work on game play.  When to hold the ball, how to manage in a man down situation, how to run with an offensive/defensive LSM and so many more.  Lacrosse is a game that you can play and get better at throughout your life, and we hope that our players will always love not only the play, but also the strategy of the game.
